Like the title says.

I'd do Night of the Comet. Military-trained sisters against the Martian Zombie Apocalypse, and one of them is a cheerleader. Box office gold.

The Purge (don't know if it's technically a horror flick but... whatever, people die and stuff)

The movie focuses on one household and is ultimately another "breaking and entering" movie. There are plenty of other movies like that. The Purge should be about ... the Purge itself, the event itself, and how it works. How it affects the town/ society? Maybe start the movie "one week before the purge"? That way, we see the way people act 364 days of the year and then get the contrast for when the actual Purge begins. And there are so many different characters you can make for it. A cop who tries to help people during the Purge anyway. A politician whose against the purge. A doctor who wants to help people? Even a priest or a religious figure could be a powerful character to have in the movie. Granted, all of these characters would have to be written in correctly. Also, the original movie had a "home-security" worker so, there's that.

Also, I like the idea of the Purge showing multiple, isolated incidents. Maybe introduce everyone in the beginning of the movie. Maybe they are all together having a feast or party before the Purge begins. Then they leave, go their separate ways, and try to survive or hide out on their own. And then at the end of the movie, they come back together - revealing to each other who had survived and who had not.

Finally, I would love if one of the main protagonists that we are supposed to follow, turns out to be one of the guys out for blood. Instead of having all the characters being goody-two shoes and not wanting to cause any violence. This is the Purge after all. Its the idea that even normal, sane individuals have dark desires to kill people and crime will be kept down if they are allowed to fulfill their desires once a year. Why does this character kill? Maybe its an old rival, his/her boss, or maybe there's no reason at all - its the purge. It would also be interesting to see the interactions of the group of characters after the Purge is over and one of them had killed someone they all knew. Its not illegal after all so, does everything truly go back to normal after the purge? That's a big question the movie should answer.

IDK, I wasn't a big fan of the Purge and even less of a fan of all the fanboys that actually think this idea could work in real life. But that doesn't mean I don't like the idea of it in the context of a story, I just wish the movie showed more lure about the purge instead of focusing on some random family.
Do you enjoy a glass of red or white blood cells?

Well.... my favourite genre is all things Zombie..  but while I love the Dawn of the Dead remake I think that the reason I like most (older) zombie films is that I find them scary funny and entertaining, so I don't think any remake would do them justice..

The Thing has already been done, so I'm not picking that.. Carrie has been done too many times..

I'm going to go for an old movie called Street Trash that most people will have no idea what I'm talking about.

It was both gory and funny at the same time.. I'd re-make it with the most shocking effects I could. I'd stick mostly to the same script and plot too.. I'd like to have theatre goers unsure of whether to laugh, scream  or puke...

My second choice would be to remake Demons. (the one set in the movie theatre) That could be so terrifying with modern effects.

I'd remake the 2009 straight to video film "The Hills Run Red". It was a mediocre slasher-ish film with an interesting set up but poor execution.  It also had a pretty bad-ass killer.

Depends. Silent Hill would make a fantastic movie if done right, because the ones that were released were ruined worse than Konami ruined the games from what I understand.

Not a fan of looking at horror (as I have stated) but I loved the birds, don't know why, but i found that movie good.

So I would remake that.

I'd do Psycho, probably less of a remake and more of a what if scenario (everyone already knows the twist).

I'd also like a remake of Street Trash, but as more of a complete overhaul. The general premise, and several key scenes absolutely must be kept in, but I would like for it to have more focus on the whole "melting homeless people/alcoholics" aspect. Not everything needs to be an allegorical film, but Street Trash would've benefited a lot from that sort of treatment, because in the movie itself the melting is only a minor part of it. There's a lot of stuff that I would rework or just cut altogether, like the part where a very minor character gets a huge load of screen time showing them failing to shoplift, the whole "mob boss's girlfriend gets raped and murdered by hobos", and the character of Bronson.

I've actually been planning a video where I would go into more detail about what I would change about Street Trash, too, as well as reviewing and comparing it to similar films.

I agree, I like Street Trash a lot, but I also think that it's a pretty flawed movie as well. I've never seen the short film on which the feature was based, but I imagine it works a little better, as Street Trash does feel like it has a lot of padding and scenes that don't really add to the film overall. It's too bad Bastion Booger isn't around to reprise his role though x3 We need a new fat, vile, perverted pro-wrestler to replace him!

As far as a horror movie i'd like to see remade, that's tough as I feel like movie remakes are kind of frivolous. I guess one that I might like to see redone would be Beast based on the Peter Benchley novel. It was a TV movie, but I'd like a somewhat more faithful adaptation with a larger budget.
